Earn more: extra ad networks

Right now only Google buys the ads in your app (plus Unity, which every app already has). With extra ad networks, up to 11 companies compete for every ad, and the highest price wins. Same ads, same places, more money for you.

How it works in 3 big steps
  1. Switch it on when you make your app. In the app builder, open App Settings → Monetization (AdMob) and turn on Earn more: extra ad networks. Tick the networks you want (only those go into your app). Build and publish your app as usual.
  2. Connect the networks in your AdMob (about 10–20 minutes each). Start with the first 3 below. You do not need all 10.
  3. Update your app-ads.txt with our app-ads.txt maker, then check your setup.
One setting first (1 minute): in AdMob open Privacy & messaging → European regulations → Settings and tick Automatically add ad sources as ad partners, then Save. Without it the new networks cannot show ads to visitors from Europe.

Good to know

Who pays me?

Google keeps paying you as before. For Google, Unity and InMobi ads the money arrives in your normal AdMob payment. Meta pays you itself, which is why Meta asks for a payout account. For the others, each network says in its agreement whether it pays through AdMob or directly; AdMob tells you when you add it ("this source pays you directly").

Will my app get slower or bigger?

Only the networks you tick are added. Your app file grows about 7 MB once (newer Google and Unity ad code), plus about 0.5

Only the networks you tick are added: about 4 MB for the first one, then about 0.5–4 MB per extra network (AppLovin is the biggest).ndash;4 MB per network you tick (AppLovin is the biggest). The Play Store download is smaller, because each phone only receives the parts it needs. Ads do not load slower: all networks bid at the same time, and Google picks the best price in a fraction of a second.

Nothing changed after I added a network?

New networks need 1–3 days to start bidding, and some (Meta, Chartboost, DT Exchange) review your app first. Check AdMob → Reports → group by Ad source after a few days.
