Putting it on Google Play

Upload the exported video to YouTube. Set it to Public or Unlisted, turn ads off (monetisation off) and do not age-restrict it.
Copy the video's address, for example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIDEO_ID.
In Play Console open Grow → Store presence → Main store listing and paste it into the Video field. Play shows it with your feature graphic as the poster.

How to use it

Add three to six screenshots in the order someone would use the app.
Write a short caption for each and pick a transition.
Export a video for YouTube or social media, or a GIF for your website and emails.
For Google Play, upload the video to YouTube and paste the YouTube link in Play Console.

Google Play and promo videos

Google Play does not accept a video file: it takes a YouTube link, shown at the top of your listing over the feature graphic. Keep it under 30 seconds, start with the app on screen, and leave out anything the app does not really do.

Questions

Which browsers can export video?

Current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari. GIF export works everywhere.

Can I upload the video straight to Google Play?

No. Upload it to YouTube (unlisted is fine) and add the link in Play Console.

Is anything uploaded?

No. The video is made in your browser.
