6. Liftoff Monetize (Vungle)

Good for video and full-screen ads. Medium15 min

Before Liftoff shows any ad, you need:

A free Liftoff account
Bidding switched on for each placement

If you stop half-way nothing breaks: Liftoff simply does not bid, and Google keeps filling your ads as before.

You will copy these into AdMob:

Steps

Tick each step when done. Your ticks are saved on this device.

Sign up at vungle.com/signup and log in to the Liftoff Monetize dashboard.
Click Add Application, choose Android, enter your Play Store link, save, and copy the App ID.
Go to Placements, click Add Placement, pick your app and one format per placement (do not reuse the default placement).
Under Monetization switch In-App Bidding to Enabled, save, copy the placement's Reference ID and click Sounds Good.
In AdMob go to Mediation, click Create mediation group (or open one), choose the format and Android, and add your ad units.
In the Bidding card click Add ad source, pick Liftoff Monetize, and accept the partnership/agreement prompt.
Click Add mapping, enter the Application ID (Liftoff's App ID) and Placement Reference ID (Liftoff's Reference ID), click Done, then Save.
Download Liftoff's app-ads.txt entries and add them to your file.

Watch out for

AdMob's Placement Reference ID is Liftoff's Reference ID, not a numeric id; the Application ID is Liftoff's App ID.

In-App Bidding must be Enabled on each placement; native bidding needs the account manager.

Test mode (Show test ads only under the app's Status) must be turned off before release.

Download the current list from https://publisher.vungle.com/vungleAdsTxt and append it. Format: 'vungle.com, <your Publisher Account ID / Seller ID (top-right of the dashboard)>, DIRECT, c107d686becd2d77'. Also set your developer website root domain in the Liftoff dashboard.
